What is the finish on a Smoke Wagon grill?
Smoke Wagon grillz will start with the original patina of the tank. That may be paint, primer or even some surface rust. We scale any loose material and sand down our weld areas then feather and smooth the entire smoker. Once complete we rub linseed oil onto the unit to enhance the natural beauty.
Can I pick a color?
Absolutely, YES!! We offer a wide variety of colors and finishes from powder coat to automotive grade paints and clears. We do offer mid temp and hi-temp coatings as well but color choices are extremely limited. Make sure to ask us what is available for your build.
What are the trays made of?
Our trays are all made from 1/8” wall square tube for strength and longevity. We then cover them with expanded metal to ensure strength and enhance smoke coverage. We then thoroughly clean and season them with cooking oil to preserve them. Stainless steel bar grates are available if needed for your build.
What are your tanks?
Our favorite builds are done with un-usable propane tanks. Although Pipe can be used, if you wish, it is substantially more expensive and can be harder to procure resulting in delayed delivery times. rest assured that our tanks are thoroughly cleaned and pressure washed to avoid any unwanted issues during the cook.
After I Order, When can i expect my smoker?
We usually need about four weeks to finish out a build. From acquisition of the tank and other raw materials to final finish. All this depends on the options and delivery area, of course.
Is shipping included in your pricing?
No it isn’t. With all the delivery variables it is not feasible. We can ship anywhere on the planet though, with our network of excellent shippers and we can even get it into your location, weather that means wheeling it to your back yard or craning it into your commercial kitchen. We can help.
Can I add my own branding?
Yes. With our laser cutting capabilities we can brand every item to fit your personal requirements. All we need is a picture or rudimentary drawing and we will design and return for approval. we offer unlimited revisions and NO EXTRA CHARGE!
